어둑서니




The book Darkness explores superstitions and the attitudes with which people embrace them.

By visually deconstructing the irrational and unscientific nature of superstitions through layered image separation, the work subtly conveys the message, “Superstition is nothing more than superstition.”

<어둑서니>는 미신과 그것을 받아들이는 태도에 대해서 다루고 있습니다. 어둑서니는 사람들에게 관심과 두려움을 받으면 더욱 커지고 무서워지지만 반대로 외면하고 무시하면 사라지는 한국의 전통귀신입니다.

우리는 미신의 과학적이고 합리적이지 않은 미신의 특성을 이미지의 레이어 분리를 통해 요소를 해체해 “미신은 미신일 뿐이다“ 라는 의미를 함축적으로 전달합니다.

책 어둑서니의 디자인 시스템은 트레이싱지와 일반 용지 파트로 나뉘어져 있습니다. 각각의 용지는 평범한 하나의 이미지를 가지고 있지만, 두 페이지가 겹쳐지면 으스스한 심상을 전달하는 미신을 시각화 합니다.
